Note: We strongly suggest upgrading to the 1948 stand as it is a big safety issue. This stand is clearly in the rider's view, and it holds the bike safely when on the side stand. For the record, the original stand by the battery, is out of sight and has killed many Indian riders. While not original on 40-47 models, it is well worth the upgrade. It is an easy upgrade that only requires changing out the front motor mounting bolt to the longer 1948 style, p/n 209013.

Note: We suggest using all new parts for this assembly for it to work properly. Each part is pretty important, and there is little room for forgiveness. As with all side stands, we suggest using good quality parts, and cost should not be a consideration. Your life and investment rely on it.
